Who uses these apps
Douglas MacDuff wrote these apps for his own use and is their only user. They have no accounts, no sign-ups and no other users.
Claude calendar read-only (dmacduff)
What it reads. The app has read-only access to Google Calendar. It reads the calendars the signed-in Google account can see: the list of calendars, and each event's title, time, location, attendees and responses. It cannot create, change or delete anything.
How it uses the data. The app runs on Douglas MacDuff's own computer. It prints his upcoming events so that his Claude Code session, an AI assistant made by Anthropic, can plan his day around them.
Where the data goes. Calendar details travel from Google to his computer, and from there to Anthropic as part of his own Claude conversations. Anthropic handles them under his Anthropic account and Anthropic's privacy policy. That account's model-training setting is off, which tells Anthropic not to use these conversations to train its models. The data is not sold, not used for advertising, and not shared with anyone else.
What is stored. The app keeps no copy of calendar data. It stores one file on Douglas MacDuff's computer, the Google sign-in token, readable only by his user account. Claude Code keeps its own conversation history on the same computer, and that history can include calendar details the app printed.
Removing access. Signing in to myaccount.google.com/connections and removing the app revokes its access and voids the token.
Google's rules. The app's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
